Sarah Mlynowski

Bio

Sarah Mlynowski is the author of young adult novel Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn't Have). She began writing teen literature with a series of four novels called Magic in Manhattan which included Bras & Broomsticks, Frogs & French Kisses, Spells & Sleeping Bags and Parties & Potions. She has since authored Gimme a Call and How to Be Bad which she wrote with E. Lockhart and Lauren Myracle.

Mlynowski began her writing career with adult novels in 2001 with Milkrun. She continued with four more novels: Fishbowl, Monkey Business, As Seen on TV and Me Vs. Me. She also collaborated on several anthologies of short stories and has authored a non-fiction book See Jane Write, which is a guide to writing chick lit.

Mlynowski is Canadian by birth and graduated with an Honors degree in English literature from McGill University in Montreal. She is the daughter of Elissa Ambrose, a romance writer. She began working as an editor after graduation for Harlequin Enterprises in Toronto. It was her editing experience which launched her writing career in 2001 of her first novel. Her second novel was named one of Waldenbooks Best Women’s Fiction novels in 2002, and Mlynowski decided to relocate to New York City where she lives now with her husband and daughter Chloe.

Some of Mlynowski’s books have been turned into films and her books have been translated into twenty-one languages. She has a new series for kids ages 7 to 10 coming soon.
