I'm looking for a comedy, with a heroine who actually stands up for herself instead of whimpering on the sidelines feeling sorry for herself all the time. Contemporary, steampunk, paranormal, romance, I'm really open to anything genre-wise. If the heroine gets to get out there and fight a bit or kick some butt that would be a big, big bonus. Preferably fiction.
Any suggestions?

So I have read a lot of books, and I usually find books boring when there's no romance in it. I like Dystopian stuff with a hint of romance, like Divergent, The Hunger Games, The Selection, and Matched.

I also love contemporary romance and chic lit, like Anna and the French Kiss, Ten Things We Did, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and A Walk to Remember

I also loved the Vampire Academy series

Here's your chance to be quoted in our famous LIKE, TRY, WHY!

Here's how it works:

Pick one non-HarperTeen novel and then one Harper novel you'd recommend reading and why. Keep the why short and sweet, about a tweet's worth of text! Also, please make sure to recommend only books you've read!

See these Like, Try, Whys for examples.

EDIT - You can also rec a Harper to Harper one!
